Primary Prevention:

The Primary Prevention team is working to prevent and delay substance use initiation among pre-teens, teens, and young adults.

Current Goals:
  • Promote protective factors in individuals, families, and build strong partnerships between the community and business, healthcare, government, and other sectors to buffer youth from exposure to risk factors which increase the likelihood that youth live safe and healthy lives
  • Address community norms and infrastructure
  • Build sustainability into our work 
  • Recognize and address disparate populations
